DIFFERENCE BETWEEN TRAVEL, TRIP AND JOURNEY.

A couple of days ago, some students from the 4th year asked me a question that usually comes to their minds. That is why I dediced to write this post so that they can finally differenciate the concepts porperly.

-TRAVEL is a verb (meaning "viajar") It  refers to the activity of moving form one place to another ( I want to travel the world). It is also an uncuontable noun (He told us about his travels to Asia)

-TRIP refers to travalling short distances, or an unusual or particular journey, as going on holidays. It is a noun, meaning "viaje". It is the word we use to indicate that we are going to stay in the place (A trip to Hawaii is the trip of my dreams or I didn't enjoy our trip to Mallorca last summer)

-JOURNEY is used to refer to travelling a long distance, or travelling regularly. It can also describe going form one point to another (How was your journey from Madrid to Barcelona?)
